  2. The recent Ukrainian offensives have captured hundreds of tons of ammunition, rockets, bullets, and several hundred tanks and armored vehicles not to mention entire batteries of artillery. In fact, they captured more equipment in 5 days than the entire western alliance supplied in 7 months. Russia has never been an issue for the Ukrainian defenders. 55 thousand Russian frontline soldiers have been killed maybe 80 thousand casualties in total. Up to 5 thousand armored vehicles and tanks have been destroyed. In fact the entire cream of the Russian army has effectively ceased to exist. The only issue Ukraine ever had was the massive Russian superiority in Artillery and rocket systems. But that advantage has now been elliminated and Ukraine is destroying Russian forces on a large scale. Russia does not have the logistics to supply even 100, 000 frontline troops. They will have no winter clothing for a start, no tents, and no cold weather equipment, they will be nothing but cannon fodder and will die in their thousands. And I can only ask 1 question. Why?

  5. Your entire comment is wrong on every level. Russia is far weaker than the Soviet Union. Russia was only able to push back the Germans because of the lend-lease from the Allies, including USA and Uk. Without those supplies Russia would have been destroyed by the German forces, Stalin said so himself at the 1943 Tehran conference. Breshnev in his memoirs said without Western logistical support Russia would have lost the war. Most of the territory captured by Russian forces was taken in 2014 when Ukraine was very weak. If you look at the territory taken by Russia over the last 7 months, the front line in the Donbas has hardly moved. Russia has had its arse well and truly kicked but this time round it is Ukraine that is getting the Lend-Lease. Ukraine has reserves of up 800,000 thousand who are pretty well trained, battle-hardened mostly, and are getting all the equipment they need including winter supplies from the West. Russia no longer has Artillery superiority and that was the only advantage it had. These reserves going to Ukraine are nothing but cannon fodder and will make no difference to the outcome of the War. Why is Putin threatening nuclear war if everything is going to plan? He is desperate because he knows he has lost. When these reserves start going back to Moscow and St Petersburg in body bags it will finally come home to the zombified Russian people that maybe this illegal and unjustified invasion of a sovereign country was maybe wrong after all.

  9.  @tinman3586  Not only access to full intelligence but US and Uk special forces will be all over Ukraine using advanced western weapons. Russian airforce is used like flying artillery it's useless otherwise that's why Ukrainians are still in the fight in the Air.

  10.  @js70371  ...or stay and go to jail for opposing the war. Ask the women who has just been sentenced to 7 years in jail for placing a couple pieces of paper in a supermarket saying that the war was a bad thing. Russia is definitely going to end up like North Korea, good luck with that.
