  2. Back in the 70's, my best friend and I were walking and passed by the Hollywood Blvd. Scientology center. There was a shill out there passing out flyers and asking people to come in for their "personality test". We agreed, thinknig it would be a lark. Wow, it was educational. We were given these long tests on paper to fill out, and in going through it I had to laugh to myself because it was so clumsily obvious what they were doing. So I filled in a bunch of BS answers just to see what would happen. I was taken into a cublcle with this CREEPY guy who talked and behaved exactly like a robot. You know how the Terminator behaved when he was talking to people? The whole moving the head before he moved the eyes? Yeah, this guy did that. It was weird. He proceeded to tell me how the test revealed that I was a loser (his word) and how I really needed to get with Scientology. I was having a hard time not bursting out laughing, but I politely refused, took the literature he pressed on me, and met my friend outside. We had a great time sitting down to lunch nearby and comparing notes. Even back then, it was painfully clear these people were looking for victims to bamboozle and fleece.
