  2. They are the epitome of everything Jesus preached AGAINST. They tick all the boxes of what he couldn't stand - hypocrisy, cruelty, hard-heartedness, greed, ostentation, bragging, religious grandstanding... I mean, EVERYTHING. They couldn't have krapped on his teachings more if they'd actually tried. Yet they keep claiming to be "Christians". Maybe so, but they certainly have no interest in anything he ever actually said.

  3.  @albertwjoell  No, that's inaccurate. Jesus called the Pharisees that he happened to be talking to at that moment hypocrites, but that doesn't mean they all were. Nicodemus was a Pharisee (which is just a member of the teaching class, as opposed to the Saducees, who were the priestly class), and Jesus was pals with him. Read that book more closely and stop taking other people's word for what it says.
