Amazing how these folks understand things better than half the voters in this country.

I was heartened by that one guy who knew the score as far as media presentation goes.

It's nice to see how people who are not in the US can understand why things get violent. All this "they should behave" garbage is just so BLIND.
50
Nice to know the US isn't the only nation where a bunch of snowflakes start shrieking with outrage over something that trivial and stupid.
36
I really like how these young people were all so quick to think of what it would be like for THEM to be under that knee. How many white people are there in this country who would NEVER jump to such a thought? Because they know perfectly well they would NEVER be in that situation, and thus feel empowered to dismiss it?
25
I don't see one of those here. I see a guy throwing in the occasional comment to make sure the interviewee doesn't wander off the point, and to clarify things for the audience who, as he said, might not get what she means.
23
I've always thought that the people who tsk-tsk over all this have never actually been in a situation where they were so powerless that all they could do was lash out. Must be nice never to have gone through that, let alone never to have been constantly abused as a matter of course for some dumbass reason that makes no sense whatsoever.

Keep going however you can. None of us will blame you for not being able to put out tons of work. You do great work and we can be patient, happy with whatever you can get out. :)

@ceeIoc They're trashing him because he's an incompetent narcissist who has never succeeded at anything other than bullying people and ripping them off.
10
@officialdarrenzheng Oh, grow up. As if YOU aren't believing every bit of wingnut crap Fox Noise spews at you.
10
@ceeIoc EVERY WORD OUT OF HIS MOUTH. Hell, he lies when he doesn't even HAVE to.
7
@Al.N2 Man, I can't imagine the snit you get into when you have a conversation.
6
@ceeIoc * yawn * The thriving economy he inherited FROM OBAMA. He has trashed every relationship this country had with the developed world. And EVERY SINGLE BUSINESS he ever started went into bankruptcy. So to quote the great Mel Brooks, "Oh, blow it out your ass, Howard!"

@9setta564 Go home, Sergei. You're drunk.

+Pimpin Ken That's exactly WHY they have a clearer view - outsider perspective. I've found that the best analyses of what's going on in this country usually come from people who either don't live here or haven't been here very long. Despite the world's past naivete concerning the US (which was mostly due to American PR, not actual reality), they're all waking up to what we REALLY are. And they DO. NOT. LIKE IT.

It's not "all men are dangerous". It's "we have no way of knowing which men are dangerous." That averages out to "all men could be dangerous, therefore avoid them." See: the "man vs. bear" movement in the US. We can't treat all men as safe when some men are not only lethal, but worst than lethal - and we have no way of telling the difference. Sorry if it's uncomfortable, but them's the breaks. A hell of a lot of women simply don't think it's worth the risk anymore.

@celeste_xo ...says the rando who's never attempted to interview anyone.
2
@frustationoverloaded5976 LOL. I don't have any objections to somebody trying to parse that dementia salad, thanks.
2
It doesn't MATTER what it is. It's a ridiculous and childish thing to get all OUTRAGED OMG about.

Find a good sushi restaurant around where you live, a place that has a chef trained in Japan. When you go there, sit at the sushi bar, not a table. Then just tell the chef, "I don't know much about sushi. What do you recommend?" He'll suggest various things. Just follow his lead. That's how I learned! :)
2
Wow. What a reductionist viewpoint. What makes you think a "foreigner" couldn't understand the "magic" of this dish? Because judging from your handle, YOU would be considered a "foreigner" as well.

The peaceful protests are being used and ruined by violent assholes, some of whom are acting specifically so that Trump can take advantage and get even more brutal. His fans are bent on destroying this country so they can just be violent racists in peace, and not have to deal with pesky human rights issues and all those inconvenient dead people.
1
Great video, thank you! Your videos are always interesting. I was shocked by that sign the one guy said he saw in a restaurant. Ugh. P.S. Any idea what happened to digitalsoju? There hasn't been a post from them in a couple of years, I think.
1
@dancar Uh huh. And who's going to fight this supposed war? You?
1
I hope he's saving up, because his looks aren't going to last forever.

I've wanted to slap people who call all those weird concoctions "gazpacho". NO. Gazpacho is made with TOMATOES. Some bell pepper, a little fried bread, garlic, and vinegar, then BLENDED to make a DRINK. Which is what gazpacho is, not some chopped salad salsa looking stuff! >:(
1
Hm. Let's talk about the squid-flavored hamburger buns that are served in Japan...

Why does everyone piss on the California roll? What's wrong with it? Crab, avocado, rice, nori. What is so awful about that? Sure, it's not authentic, but neither is any other roll that has more than one ingredient in with the rice.
1
Who's "we"?
1
Um, excuse me? I live in California, and I can tell you we take GREAT pride in our cooking. For gods' sakes, the whole healthy food revolution CAME from California. Maybe next time don't assume people aren't proud of their cooking just because you don't hear them go on and on about it all day.
1
@fridavalero Oh, I've had ceviche many times. But technically, it's not raw. The citrus juices cook it. Learned that from a chef friend.
1
The cream cheese would completely freak them out. That is just so wrong as far as real sushi goes. There's never ANY dairy anywhere near real sushi.
1
I'm in agreement with their wanting to taste just the natural food. I've never been big on salting or spicing my food because I like the way things taste on their own. Everyone tells me I'm weird, though I think they're burying the taste of the real food with all that salt and sugar.
1
Ceviche isn't raw, though. :)
1
I agree. It's a little high- handed to get on Americans for adapting cuisines when pretty much EVERYONE does it. The Japanese are the masters of appropriating all kinds of things for their own, so I find it a little odd that folks from there would scratch their heads at anyone else doing it.
