  4. What really pisses me off is that when landlines lost popularity because of cellphones, all the PUBLIC PHONES got ripped out. So much for people who can't afford techie gadgets, or who find themselves in an emergency with no phone.

  5. That's because they're not really landlines. They're VOIP enabled lines. They run through the same system as the cellphones and are subject to power losses. Real grounded landlines are dying out because of all the thieves stealing copper cables from the phone lines.

  13. This is exactly why attorneys should be provided for civil as well as criminal charges. It's disgusting that people are left helpless so that the corporations can clean up. And that bitch claiming they "dont' want to end up in court"? Oh, please. It's amazing that ANYONE could possibly believe that bullshit. It's obvious they're gouging as many people as possible with fraudulent billing practices.
