If you're cooking the rice, the heat will kill the virus, so it doesn't matter as far as the rice goes. However, it's a good idea just to keep the habit going.

Wait a minute - you also made a video talking about how "simple turkey" is the best. So which is it? Make up your mind, man!
10
...and burn a little sage. That always cleans the air nicely.
2
Sure, if you have no idea how to cook turkey.
2
@stinkmonger I am getting a mite tired of the YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG clickbait titles.
2
Wow. Putting quote fingers around "correctly" when talking about the misuse of a foreign word. That's not arrogant at all. Also, that wasn't a run-on sentence. It just had two clauses after the subject. A very different thing.
2
You don't have to buy caster sugar. You can make it easily with a spice grinder.
2
I pull the skin up and massage underneath it with butter. NEVER a dry turkey!
2
It may be safe, but it's still disgusting. FEH.

I HATE those competitive shows, yes, even that baking thing. They introduce negativity, ridicule, and cruelty into what should be a loving, humble process. Cooking should be a joyful activity done with love for the people who will eat. I cannot imagine the nastiness of a mind that could turn it into an excuse to berate people and make them feel like shit for not being "perfect".
1
the super family ost Hear, hear! I hate those shows. What's wrong with just learning how to cook?
1
* shrug * Okay. Folding being hardly an arm-breaking task, I would say the difference is... well, de minimus.
1
He isn't really a chef, though. Just because someone has a cooking "show" doesn't make him a chef. A career in the kitchen makes one a chef.
1
Yeah, but don't use it to fry on nonstick pans. EVOO leaves a residue that can ruin those pans. (Not an opinion, but an instruction from manufacturers.)
1
Turn the turkey breast-side down when you cook it. Comes out much more moist and flavorful. Or use a turkey fryer. Or just don't eat the breast. The dark meat is always far more tasty.
1
Or just save the breast for sandwiches and soup, and eat the DARK MEAT. That's the really good part, after all.
1
@cyvonn Have you got a trick to it? Or are you just buying exceptionally good turkeys? :)
1
hi my names CATRINA • I see you don't live in the South. :D
1
THANK YOU. Gods, this diet faddism is just so STUPID.
1
So tell whoever it is to stop holding that gun to your head.
1
I can't eat dark chocolate. Bitter, nasty stuff. For me, it's an ingredient in baking, not something to eat on its own.
1
@RobGrognerd Ew, no wonder. I never eat the breast. Much too dry. The dark meat is where it's at for flavor.
1
@RobGrognerd Um, I did say I don't eat the dry part, which is the breast. My family members who DO eat that part think it's just fine. 'Cause you see, there's more than one part to a turkey.
1
It needs a handful of rice.
1
.5% condescending snark about what everyone else is saying.
1
Turkey is fine. You just have to know how to cook it, and apparently Adam doesn't.
1
A lot of this sounds like justification for doing things the same way because reasons.

I really don't like the taste of boxed mix. It tastes artificial. I guess a lot of that has to do with how I grew up. My mom didn't bake at all, and birthday cakes came from the Italian bakery nearby. So when I started baking later in life, I found I just don't like that chemical-laden taste of commercial box mixes. I much prefer the imperfections of a home-made cake. (P.S. I'm shocked at a professional baker who doesn't seem to know about the use of cake rings to keep layers from doming and getting browned and crusty. Seriously?)
1
Wait, isn't it bad to re-use frying oil? Doesn't it break down the more you use it, making it unhealthy?
1
I was never into Mario, myself. Emeril was my guy. He made cooking fun and his recipes were always amazing.
