  1. Sorry, but that's not always true. Not all products will outlast the warranty. Back a while, Best Buy's warranty policy used to shake out that if you bought it and had to bring the product back, the warranty would automatically reset for another 2 years without your paying for it again. Over a ten year span, I got five new DVD players from them through that one $25 warranty. (This wasn't because the product was bad but because I used it to so damn much.)
