In that case, the whole idea becomes worthless, since a state of "happiness" that no one can ever reach is irrelevant. . Also, I am now a little insulted that you assume no one can love animals or be ethical if they do not share your precise view on how to achieve a good life. No, I am not a vegan - and yet, SURPRISE!! I love animals and consider myself very ethical. Please look into the sources and supply chain of every item you have in your house before you start making little judgments about others' ethics. You'll be shocked at how much poverty, racism, violation, and even murder you are supporting with the things you buy. (And yes, that includes animals.)
