  3. It's not that hard to fathom. When people have power, even the small mean sort of power, they don't give it up without a fight. I'd be surprised if they DIDN'T whine and cry and throw tantrums.

  4. Oh no, that's not all they're interested in. They're out to destroy ALL government programs that help people - Social Security, Obamacare, subsidized childcare, EVERYTHING. They want to go back to the Gilded Age, when the poor were just grist for the mill and the "uppity ******s" KNEW THEIR PLACE DAMMIT. That's how they think, that's what they want.

  6. I'm constantly disgusted by how many members of the Senate seem to think that being present for THEIR FUCKING JOB is just not important. Look how EMPTY that chamber is. And get how cowardly Cornyn is - he can't even bring himself to speak DIRECTLY to Harris. Check out how "outraged" he is about things happening "behind closed doors" when his wingnut pals CONSTANTLY try to hide everything they do.
