But you gunsuckers drop the entire first clause so you can claim the Founders wanted every Tom, Dick, and Brainless to go around waving a gun. Which is basically the OPPOSITE of what they intended.   4. So now we've all got to be starry-eyed innocents or else we're stupid? F U. If we're cynical, it's because we've been GIVEN reason to be so FOR YEARS NOW. We have every right to look at this thing with a jaundiced eye, and insulting people who try to see things realistically only drives them away from you. Just because we don't go through life with rose-colored glasses on, believing everything will go our way because WELL OF COURSE WE'RE RIGHT SO WE'LL WIN doesn't make us bitter, it makes us CAUTIOUS.
