+Lisette Garcia Nice try, mija, but it was W who put up that fence. Yet again, you wingnuts try mighty hard to erase the memory of that guy. Not much loyalty in you, is there?

Narcissists see everything in terms of what makes them look good. Combine that with a flagrant disregard for the idea of truth, and you get a guy who will lie at every moment depending on what he thinks will make him look like a hero and a mensch. Since Twitler has no ability to discern right from wrong, lying means nothing to him. What I find really weird is his habit of not only lying about things that he has no need to lie about, but also that have nothing to do with him whatsoever. He's gone beyond lying for a purpose and now lives in a headspace where there is nothing like objective reality, and everything exists solely to please or annoy him. It's why he can order the tear gas like that, and doubtless would happily order up dogs and water cannons - because those protesters aren't really people to him, they're annoyances. Which leads to the very, very chilling thought that that was Hitler's problem - he was incapable of seeing the people he opposed as actually human, which is why he could order up Hell like that without a qualm. And we already have concentration camps...

You can thank police "unions" for the fact that cops can be utterly evil bastards and never, ever get busted for their crimes. These organizations are a mockery of REAL unions, for they exist solely for the purpose of shielding cops when they do something rotten. They don't deal with wages or hours or benefits or anything except running interference for criminals and lobbying for laws that make it IMPOSSIBLE to put a cop in jail. That is the first thing that has to happen - these corrupt "unions" HAVE TO GO. No progress can be made so long as there are government-subsidized lobbying groups making murder unpunishable.

Is there some reason it can't be both? Floyd's murder was the catalyst, and it's highly, HIGHLY patronizing of you to redefine the meaning of people's actions. Speak for yourself, please.
