  4.  @jpolowin0  Well, there are ways it's not accurate. All that filth is not accurate. People did not go around caked in mud. The buildings were not ugly drab falling-down hovels. People didn't dress in ugly brown rags. All that is propaganda from later times, which is par for the course. Every era wants the earlier eras to look bad, so they look good in comparison. The medieval era was vibrant and colorful and interesting, not some horrible hellish slog.
