  1. Unfortunately, worship of ignorance has been a feature of American life since colonial times. The whole "common man" myth has bedeviled this country since the beginning. "I have a right to my opinion!" shouts the "common man". NO, sir. You have the right to an INFORMED opinion. No one has the right to be ignorant.
