  2. You know what I'm sick of? People lumping EVERYONE in a generation together. I was born in the last few years of the baby boom, and I also have never owned a home or had any chance of buying one. The only reason I have one now is my dad didn't want me to be homeless, so he left the house to me and my brother, who is fine with me living there for the rest of my life. But I can't sell it to move anywhere else. I feel extremely lucky because I know PLENTY of people from my generation who also never were able to buy houses, who never were able to get big-paying jobs, and who certainly were never offered or eligible for pension plans or anything like that. STOP claiming our entire generation are assholes who ruined things for the younger folks. It's a lie, and it's a very, very damaging lie.
