But that's what happens when a company goes public - all pretense of being worthwhile and having standards goes out the window in favor of lining the pockets of leeches.

  4. Because "the economy" doesn't include YOU. That term refers to corporate PROFITS, not human lives. It doesn't MATTER to "the economy" if you can't find a job. All that matters (and this is what politicians are talking about) is whether the RICH are getting RICHER. That's the only thing that counts. YOU don't count at all.

  10. In my experience, remakes work when the original material isn't good. Then you have nowhere to go but up. But remaking things that were already great is pointless, definitely.
