  1. I can't believe anyone still argues that stuff about Brooks. Here's the thing about that incident - it hinged completely on the fact that the cop turned to arresting him when he could have just aided him. There was no reason at all to whip out the cuffs. The cop could have said, "Okay, I think you're too intoxicated to be out here, so I'm going to drive you home. Give this officer your keys and he'll follow in your car." Then he should have just done it. The entire horrible thing was utterly unnecessary and could have been easily avoided had the cop just decided to be a decent human being.

  3. And how are they supposed to do that when the reporting they're doing is on the answers to the questions they themselves ask? A reporter's leanings will be apparent in which questions they ask and how they accept the answers given. This isn't reporting on an event, or on anything that happens independent of the reporting. It's a conversation, and there's no way to keep one's POV out of that.
