  1. There are very few things I've gotten rid of over the years that I did not come to regret. Sorry, but this GET RID OF ANYTHING YOU'RE NOT USING RIGHT NOW thing is overrated and, to my eyes, insane. People have gotten addicted to the Gaines's and their awful, dull, empty home design. I'm NOT going to dump my memories and life just because someone I've never met tells me I ought to do it. I want to live in a home that looks like it's lived in by a real person who's had family and friends and pets and everything that makes life worth living, not in some boring furniture catalog. You can't put a price on your memories or your life, and calculating the cost is soulless.
