  1. Never say "yes" or "no" to the cops. Always make complete statements. Cops have ways of phrasing their questions vaguely so whether you say "yes" or "no", your response can be taken as whatever they want it to be. So avoid those two words and state your answer with a full sentence.

  5. I thought we had the right not to say anything to the cops. So now a person can be detained just because they don't want to talk? And are these cops so clueless that they don't know how many people no longer want to help them with anything because of the way cops' behavior is being exposed? I don't want to deal with them at all either, and I'm a law-abiding citizen living quietly. They'd better start understanding how their arrogance is destroying any trust the public has concerning the police, because lawsuits and rulings like this are going to multiply exponentially if they don't. They're going to end up spending every day, all day, in court trying justify their crap decisions.
