  3. wolf cundy Maybe every scene with Rod, Chris' friend supposed to be the comedic part. I think the fact this movie was directed by a comedian, Golden Globes staff decided to "You know what, let's put in on comedy because this movie was directed by a comedian! Case Closed." The same happened to The Martian 2 years ago.
