No, it's not. The S Class is definitely superior compared to the A8 for interior quality, at least how I've specced it compared to same year audi s8. In the same way, R8 > AMG GTS, RS3>A45. The RS7 is compared to the CLS63 FYI and in my view the two are the same.

Mercedes doesn't have rubbish reliability or expensive maintenance my friend. It all depends upon how lucky you are - you can have problems with any car. You only hear about issues with cars, you don't hear as often how good the cars are.

RS7 takes it from dig, CLS63 will from a roll.

Copied the model of fuel? Do you know much about cars? BMW had issues of smoke which pollutes the environment. Every diesel suffers when not maintained properly, it can be fixed by doing a diesel purge, and can be caused by rich mixture of fuel, unburnt diesel, overfueling or more problems. CDI is Common Rail Diesel Injection, something found in BMW Diesels as well.

ManiakP0w3r The G series BMWs all look similar in the same way of the new C/E/S. I wonder why people are hating on what BMW and Mercedes are doing, it's the same thing they did a few generations ago, and no one had any problems back then. Once you sit inside either 7 series or s class you will guranteed feel the difference from the lower models.

ManiakP0w3r The S Class started selling a year before the C Class. S Class : "The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class produced since 2013" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_S-Class_(W222) C Class : "The Mercedes-Benz W205 is a compact executive car which is being produced by the German automaker Mercedes-Benz from 2014" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_C-Class_(W205) I have an early 2014 S350 and am willing to bet anything that the C Class wasn't available for purchase in early 2014.

ManiakP0w3r Bs talking? I've proved everything I have said, unlike yourself. 60db is half of 70db and 70 db is half of 80db. That would mean that 3db is a fraction louder, not double as you so claim. Sorry for that subwoofer comment, that was incorrect, that was regarding physical dbs being doubled.

Sales for the S Class aren't going down, it's just that no one looks at the main market for these cars which is China. In fact, with the figures we can see, the S Class had sold around 1% (tiny amount) more cars in 2015 than 14.

The S Class saves lives due to its safety, Wolfman on MBWorld is living proof that it does.

"look at that rubbish shiny plastic the Merc has, its cheap looking." Please sit inside any of the cars in the video before talking 'rubbish'. My old A8 had the same interior colour scheme, and there is not much difference in the wood 'quality' between the S Class and A8. I can also gurantee you that it in no way looks cheap, or feels cheap. I only wish there was more possible colours. One thing I have to say about wood in either car is that the A8s urethane resin ensures that nothing could damage it, I tried changing the colour but it was impossible lol.

All I can say is you are yet to sit in a S Class by you calling the interior a "bloody embarrassment". Even the C Class uses real, laser cut wood, not plastic lol. In neither car are the air vents cheap, I''ve essentially dismantled the S Class and can attest to this. I have an A4 as a DD and would prefer the C Class - if it was not for it looking so similar to the S. The A4s bang and olufsen is better than the C Class' burmester though. The Q7 interior definitely looks better than the GLS', it seems too similar to the GLE whereas you'd expect it to be more like the S Class. There are many people who have better things to say about the S Class' interior, including many reviewers, business executives, and awards. Sales figures show this too, with the S Class selling at minimum 2 and a half times more than the A8 each year.

He probably does know what he's talking about but as we both are an example of as well as the other reviewers here and on youtube, people have different feelings on the samethings. The S Class is way superior in terms of interior materials to the C Class, E Class and entire of the Mercedes range except probably the new V Class passenger vehicle. The main reason I know so much is because I've taken apart a lot of the cars I've mentioned for retrofits such as Burmester 3D in my S350, bang and olufsen/mmi 3g high in an A4 and telephone retrofits in 2 A8s. I've also been in my friends S8 to speeds at which I probably shouldn't mention but I could probably send my sons video if you really want to see it lol.

Most audio systems are built by the car manufacture and the name is basically just purchased to stick onto the audio system.

Like what? The only other video is motortrend where the S Class won lol

"like this!" like what?

Electric seats : http://images.caricos.com/m/mercedes-benz/2015_mercedes-benz_s600_guard/images/1920x1080/2015_mercedes-benz_s600_guard_13_1920x1080.jpg 4 zone climate control : http://motoroids.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/New-2014-Mercedes-Benz-S-Class-interior-and-exterior-78-600x399.jpg Also keyless go is available on every current Mercedes lol

BMW can make good interiors, I do like the new 5 series interior, it's more 7 series than e class is s class like. I in no way mean that as a negative, it makes it a much more appealing choice than the previous generation.
1
I think it looks really nice. I want one as a daily driver since an E Class and S Class combo wouldn't be that nice due to how similar they are.
1
I have a 222 S350 already lol. The current 5 series isn't to my liking, but this new facelifted one seems like a 7 series and is definitely the the only choice if you disregard the E Class.
1
The Mercedes has many more options left. Burmester 3D, executive packages e.t.c, roughly the same amount as the 7 Series. The 7 Series is a bigger version of the G10 5 Series.

ManiakP0w3r I meant G11 vs G30, Even BMW fans had said they look so similar : http://www.bmwblog.com/2016/10/12/2017-bmw-g30-5-series-vs-bmw-g11-7-series-photo-comparison/ A lot of people who claim they're so similar, don't remember (or too young to know) the older generations of cars from both manufactures. Every few lifecycles most cars are similar, but with luxury car sales increasing, every brand does it now in an attempt to bring in more sales.
1
ManiakP0w3r What are you talking about? The S Class was unveiled in early 2013 and was available for sale in September 2013. The C Class was unveiled at Detroit early-mid 2014 and was available for sale in September 2014. The C Class came a year after the S Class, which will probably result in similar time to G11 7 vs G30 5.

ManiakP0w3r I do live in London. Here is a 2013 S350, noted by the 63 plate meaning September 2013 : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2014-Mercedes-Benz-S-Class-3-0-S350L-CDI-BlueTEC-SE-Line-7G-Tronic-Plus-4dr-/152270215928?hash=item2374031af8:g:YXEAAOSwRoxXm2z1
1
ManiakP0w3r What question am I avoiding? Also 63 plate means built between September 2013 and February 2014 which is months before the C Class was even unveiled.

Orders could be played since May 2014 : http://mbworld.org/forums/new-s-class-w222/499872-just-placed-my-order-today-but-have-few-questions-mbc.html "Europe models went on sale at the end of July 2013, followed by China at the end of September 2013, USA at October 2013."

ManiakP0w3r You're the idiot lol. Have a look at the DVLA website, THE PEOPLE WHO GIVE OUT the numberplates : https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/533255/inf104-vehicle-registration-numbers-and-number-plates.pdf "Sept 2013 – Feb 2014 63"

You're taking the chart wrongly lmao. According to your measurements, 2 12 inch subwoofers which create over 100db in volume are over 10000x as noisy as a car driving at 70mph. The 2 subwoofers wouldn't be 10000x louder as 2 people talking in a low volume forget about a moving car. You should have learnt this in physics at school.
1
ManiakP0w3r Ok, my mistake, it wasn't only September but I corrected that in the next comment where I said September 2013 to February 2014.

What are you talking about? You probably haven't even sat in a S Class and you are saying it can't compete with an A8. The S Class is superior in a lot of ways in terms of luxury to the A8, with one exception being possibly the sound system as I haven't heard the Bang and Olufsen 3D in it but if it's anything like the Q7's it would be fantastic. It is also a lot more sporty inside e.t.c. There are other factors in terms of loudness but the only time I've been in a 7 series new shape is on the M25 which in no way is quiet. There's been electric rear seats in the S Class and 4 zone climate for over a decade and the only 'sloppy' transmission is the S63s one in manual mode.
1
ManiakP0w3r I recommend that you read the comment wrote by carwow when someone asked about the sound test. It'd be impossible for even a mini cooper to be 60% as loud, as it would equal sounds put out by 2 10" subwoofers. You're calling me a fanboy, yet you speak so highly of a car that you've never sat in before and talking about things which are practically impossible. You don't even know anything about either car except things from the internet. The 7 Series doesn't have a Bang and Olufsen system, it has Bowers and Wilkins. The A8 has bang and olufsen while the S Class has Burmester. Also, the S8s interior is the most sporty out of the 3 due to the positions in the car, steering wheel position e.t.c. You shouldn't be talking about things you know little about.
