  8. jamviator How did Mercedes steal ambient lighting from BMW? It was available in 2005. Correct me if I'm wrong but which BMW had ambient lighting before 2005. BMW also copied citroen then. I can also give you a list of features that the 7 Series has taken from the S Class. One major one is MB Body Control.

  9. Not sure if you're talking to me but I'll reply with my views. I never thought the 7 series interior was shit. You can view in another comment I really like both of them. It depends what style you like. One if simplistic while the other is futuristic. There's been innovations on the s class that were then put on the 7 series and vice versa. I don't mind if people prefer the 7 series but when they claim the s class is shit or you can make the s class screens for $25, that's when I'd reply. If I was looking for a luxurious driver focused car I would have got a 7 series but I'd prefer a passenger focused one for my family so I got a S Class. Hope you understand my points.

  13. ***** How is it idiotic? The thing is, if you've taken advanced driving courses then sure it is a good idea, but I highly doubt that he has. Either way, you can't get insurance on a 360hp car as an 18 year old with any provider, at least in the UK. You can't even get insurance for a S400 unless you go to a specialist. Now he is 20 I'm quite sure it would be a great car for himself.

  14. Justin Valentino The S Coupe is a much much better car than the Bentley, when both are fully equipped. Leather, safety systems, technology, new interior not one found in a 2004 car, better speaker system, more reliable e.t.c. I had a Bentley and would still buy one, mainly because it is a Bentley. If it wasn't called a Bentley, not many would have sold.

  16. The S63 is LWB as standard. The Panamera was built to rival the CLS63S, now going to be the AMG GT4. Sit inside the new Panamera Turbo and you'll understand. For full size luxury vehicles such as the S Class, 7 Series and A8, you just "enter", but for the Panamera Turbo you have to duck down and sit lower down in the car. Also compare the seats etc.

You guys don't even admit that the S Class interiors better than the 7 Series, even though people like Uzzy who is a hardcore BMW fanboy admits it.

  20. ewoudalexander​ Except this car can't fit 4 adults. It fits 2 adults and 2 5 year olds. Those "seats" are pretty much for grocery, bags and other equipment.

  21. The AMG GTS doesn't share the same sound as other V8s unless you're talking about the C63S. I might as well say the Porsche shares the same engine sound as the BMW M4 or M3.

  29. J0lker They've owned 7 Series/BMWs for pretty much their whole lives. What do you expect their opinion to be? I also doubt they have tested the S Class, but they focus on driving dynamics whereas the S Class focuses on the passenger.

  31. I would have got it if it was 4matic, but I was told by AMG that they couldn't get it to fit on RHD E63s. All that really has to be done is flipping it over, the same thing which was done to the rest of the car, it wouldn't have been really costly for Mercedes.

  38. You said mid range audi. The a4 has a fantastic audio system but that's it really. Lots of plasticy bits and the c class beats it. The a class beats the a1. A3 beats b class. E Class vs A5 not to sure. A6 vs CLS seems the same. A7 vs CLS a7 wins I think. S class beats a8. SLS beats r8.

  42. The S Class is better than the 7 Series in every aspect except the price. Better to drive, better technology e.t.c. BMW won't make a new 7 series this well because they are focusing on Rolls Royce which is earning more than enough money to forget about the 7 series.

  43. theDownloader12qwert Yes, sorry about that. Just looked at the 7 series picture and it has already lost if they are keeping that design. The interior looks exactly like a stretched 3 series. Not much difference, where as the C Class and S Class have quite a lot of difference event though the C Class is a baby S Class.

  45. To be honest, I think in the last couple of decades there's only been 4 years where the 7 Series has beaten the S Class. The thing is, this new 7 Series is very very good, but they missed the time where they should have built their name in the luxury segment. Now at all the big chauffeur companies, they have S Class'. There's now even talks of 100,000 S Class' being sold to Uber. That may have been the 7 Series if they had the image of the super luxury sedan in their class.

  46. TheEryk03 The RS6 is faster than a GTR? The GTR does 0-60 in 2.8 and demolishes it round the autobahn. The 458 also beats it, doing 0-60 in 3.1 unless its a TUNED car.

  48. Jack Brand As I have said, the times can just be times they found in their tests. The E63 S was said to do 0-60 in 3.5/3.6, but in reality did 3.2/3.3. The C63 has already beaten the M3 in a drag multiple times.
