Latvietis96 Lol? The M3 came out in 2014 and C63s in 2015 and the c63s beat it in straight line races all day long.

Latvietis96 The GT63S was quicker in every straight line metric(0-50, 0-80, 0-100, 0-130, 0-160, quarter mile) except 0-200 by 0.1 seconds. After that 0.1 second, it gained speed quicker and beat it in the quarter mile. It was also slower around the track by 0.06 seconds which is AMAZING for a car weighing ~200kg more, and as mentioned is much faster round the Nurburgring compared to the M5 and is the quickest sedan round Hockenheim. This weight involves luxury features which in the comfort category it got 4 stars whilst the M5 got 2.5, which is good seeing as how the M5 is a sports sedan whilst the GT63S is a luxury sports sedan competing with the Panamera Turbo S, Rapide, and the upcoming M8 GC - which looks beautiful as a lot of these new high end sedans are.

@davissilvestrs1996 Its not performance oriented, its a s class with e63s performance. Its much more comfortable than the m5. You obviously aren't reading what you're quoting as that article had the AMG GT63s doing the quarter mile in less than 11 seconds, quicker than the m5 cp in same conditions, and customers havent even got the car yet to set quarter miles in ideal conditions. As i said, it beat the m5 cp in 90% of performance metrics and only lost because of its price. The M8 wont be much faster if at all because its a gran cruiser, 7 series luxury with m5 performance. The gt63s doesnt even compete with the m5 cp, its meant to compare to the m8, panamera turbo, aston martin rapide etc

@davissilvestrs1996 The M5 CP is slower than the GT63s on Sachsenring, look at the autobild review where they did it in 1.32.59. Wheres your info from? Also, the GT63S was faster from 0 - 50,80,100,130, 180 and the quarter mile. It was only drawn for 0-160 and got beat 0-100. Of course a car weighing 200kg more will lose on a braking test, but in the real world youre not gonna ask someone for a braking race looll.

@davissilvestrs1996 Ah, yes, my bad. The m8 would smoke the AMG GT in a straight line all day long. Its got over 100hp less, Mercedes need to make the AMG GT 600hp+ to be competitive, but then it loses its rwd appeal. We have to wait for the gran coupe for the gt63s comparison. I also wouldnt mind losing by half a star for driving pleasure to a 200kg lighter sports sedan in a GT cruiser whilst being in a more luxurious environment.

@davissilvestrs1996 You say the GT63s was quicker on the track because of different conditions, but the m5 cp when in the same conditions is slower to 62. Also, how can tires cause a difference for the GT63s greater than the AC M5 which has a 100hp more tune, interior stripped and tyres? My fathers had his name for one since the festival of speed nearly 2 years ago and hasnt even got a test drive yet, how do you expect customers to set records like the m5? How many of these cars have you driven? You cant quantize a 0.5 star difference in handling or pleasure, especially when comparing a luxurious gran cruiser to a super sports sedan. These cars aren't even meant to be compared. Bro, everyone has different feelings for the same car. You'll love the M5 like I love the GT63s. The Panamera Turbo S is slower and worse in most metric than both of these cars, and costs more than 50k greater. Still doesn't mean I'd ever pick a M5 over it.

@davissilvestrs1996 Youtube ac schnitzer m5, for me the video is the fourth video down. Once again, if you say the M5 is faster head to head on the track, i can say the GT63s is faster head to head in the quarter mile and to 100kmh which are the most common measurements of car performance. This can go on forever but this is useless because no one heres changing their mind lol.
