@maazkalim An accent is acquired in the childhood, so maintaining or not maintaining it is not a choice.

@j0j0dartiste21 Nobody was kicked out of their homes in the West Bank. We're building on the vacant lands. They live where they've always lived. It's nice to be a professional victim, isn't it?
3
@suzannekirkwood6392 No terror or forced displacement ever employed by Israel to anybody. Those who left chose to do so voluntarily. Our policy has always been conciliation and peaceful co-existence. They chose confrontation, well, their choice again. Thank you
3
@ernestkhalimov1007 Why do you keep listening to them, though?
2
@Q8Caffeinated No, you don't have to. It's voluntary, just turn off your computer/TV or watch something else. Why bother listening to him if you know he lies. I am pretty sure you know better. Thank you
2
@Huskymanus I am sure you know everything, so why listen to a liar?
2
@FNFNFN99KKK Makes no difference to me.
2
@blah329 He's Israeli, sorry you don't like it. Doesn't matter his origin. I am American, doesn't matter either. In Israel everybody is Israeli, thank you
2
@fcb9950 Right, that's the mission of the State of Israel and has been since its inception, to make it a home for every Jew willing to come here. And I am happy to report that we're fulfilling it. Thank you
2
They forfeited their right for their houses and the land. Nobody forced them, it was their decision. Now it's too late to turn around. I can see why some of the would like to (not the original ppl but their descendants). It's b/c life in Israel is great, but oh well, better decision making should've been employed in 1948 . They should've stayed.
2
@maazkalim What? An accent? Of course it does. Your voice box forms by the age of 12-13, and that's what your accent will be like. There could be exceptions perhaps, but that's how nature works.
2
@WeAreGhuraba I never said ppl didn't come from without, they did, and that's what makes our nation strong. We welcome immigration and always have. No difference where those ppl hail from, could be Europe, the Americas, etc. In this day and age, ppl migrate. I don't believe the massive numbers of Muslims migrating all over the world are native to their host countries either. I am not native to the USA, either. My ancestry is Russian, yet I am American. I know it's very odd. but oh well. Things don't always fall in place the way you see it. Thank you
2
@WeAreGhuraba Not sure what you're talking about though, sorry. Who cleansed whom? The land was partitioned by the UN in 1947. Was that an act of ethnic cleansing? If so, blame the UN.
2
@WeAreGhuraba Sorry, I don't know which New Yorker you're referring to and how right he/she was and what they meant and in reference to what. anyway, ouoting one person is not always wise and I am certainly not sure about my escape. Thank you
2
@manubande LOL. behind bars was funny.
1
@gregorshepherd3561 Of course he does. I am American, is it my fault? The same w/him.
1
@DLCummings Openly and vocally against what? Against Mr. Regev?
1
@Para2normal So where was that lie? Thank you
1
@Huskymanus I am sure you know the truth then. Care to share?
1
@md.muzahidulislamsamrat8037 Like it how those ex- or former- like to castigate their country. Were booted out and are now short on cash, I presume. The Arabs pay well.
1
Apparently, you're taking it aplenty
1
@princessagatha9991 No, Hama$ is not starving them. It's feeding them 6 times a day. Look how obese they are
1
@abdalrhmannegm6227 No, it wasn't a glitch. She's a known anchor and has been for years. Her approach is notorious
1
@Lightseer72 I am glad you think him intelligent, but maybe he just doesn't lie.
1
@Ssalamanderr For sure, Sir/Ma'am, Israeli citizenship doesn't exist--in your mind, but that's ok, we're fine w/o your mind. Thank you.
1
@Sin3xtreme That's OK, you don't have to be Israeli born to hold a citizenship here. Just like many other countries, we admit immigrants.
1
@David-ib3oi Your gov is doing a noble thing. But then of course, money talks the same language to everybody.
1
@theressomelovelyfilthdownh4329 I am sorry I am doing it badly. However, if you give me an example of my badness, i'll strive to improve. Thank you
1
@almazblanco6676 The State of Israel is open to everybody. It was those ppl's choice to leave in 1948, so now we can't do anything for them. They forfeited their right.
1
@Veritas2233 Pipe dream but suit yourself
1
@Sin3xtreme Nothing wrong w/that.
1
@kareemalmas7580 It's unlikely that a delusion can create a state, an army, industry, science, medical, edu, etc. The Arabs, unfortunately, have none of those. So who's delusional?
1
@Prime8-f4y Love to listen to Douglas. Great his appearances are sold out. There are normal minded ppl around.
1
@AdastraRecordings You're calling South Africans racists? The most noble and principled nation in the modern world, the only one able to stand tall and proud against the horrors perpetrated on the world and you're calling them racists? Then I guess it's not a problem.
1
@Veritas2233 Both sets of grandparents are from Russia. thank you.
1
@j0j0dartiste21 I am sorry but kicking out the Arabs is a pretty tired narrative and you can certainly repeat it over and over if it suits you, but in reality, nobody was kicked out. Ppl left on their own. Their arab neighbors urged them to do so, so they could start a war and kick the Jews out. They didn't win that war. That said, even after the war, we were prepared to take them back but not many came,. It's their choice. We can't force them to come back.
1
@Veritas2233 The same connection as w/the US. I wanted to come to the US and did so. Nobody in my family lived there before, I am a first generation American and English speaker. The US accepts immigrants from everywhere. is this illegal? Likewise, Israel accepts immigration from everywhere too, those w/a connection or without. That's the policy of the State. Also illegal, I guess. Muslims, Asians, etc travel all over the world and settle in countries that have never been theirs w/no connections to those countries. Must be illegal too. Thank you.
1
@Sin3xtreme Of course they can vote. They have their own parties that are represented in the Knesset. in some municipalities there are Arab mayors and other officials. They're rightful citizens. They can do everything. And they certainly carry Israeli passports and nationality. Not sure what you meant. thank you
1
@FNFNFN99KKK There are many names that have been thus changed. I see nothing wrong w/it and certainly nothing funny. Ppl coming to the US also anglicize their names. Is that laughable too?
1
The country doesn't owe them anything. They're their own country
1
It has already come
1
Maybe not quite
1
Yet you persist.
1
I agree. A trap set up by Hamas to get their ppl killed and blame Israel. Their tactic to the boot.
1
What did he call them before?
1
@WeAreGhuraba Sorry it doesn't work for you, but oh well, it happens sometimes.
1
@WeAreGhuraba Where does it go?
1
@WeAreGhuraba The "world" will endure it as long as it goes on. The world cares not an iota, sorry. The land was divided by the UN in 1947 and the Arabs were given their share, which was quite large. They were given a chance to set up their state but decided against it. So the world has done its job, it can't do more, it can't force a state on them that they don't want. Thank you
1
@suzannekirkwood6392 Right,if they're young enough to do so, thank you.
1
@maazkalim LOL, this post merits accolades as the most nonsensical post of the day. Google is clearly not your friend today. Hope you have a good night , though.
1
@WeAreGhuraba I am sorry the system didn't let you include Morris' quote but really it doesn't matter. Benny Morris is not a historian, he's a revisionist who seems to be on the taking. I don't know what country you're from and how laws work there, but I can tell you that here in the USA, a "historian" like that would be likely to stand trial for libel and the revision of history. In Israel, everything goes. Sad.
1
@WeAreGhuraba I can't give you a response to Benny Morris b/c I don't know what specifically you're referring to. If you can quote it, I'll see if I can but not sure anyway b/c Morris is a revisionist and none of his statements hold true. He couldn't produce one proof or even a credible photo in his book about the 1948 war. So I am sorry but Benny Morris is no authority to me. Thank you
1
@WeAreGhuraba I am sorry I don't know "much of the history". I guess we all have our limitations, it's only human. Hope you have a good night.
1
@WeAreGhuraba Makes no difference to me what he supports or doesn't. A historian's job is to do research and present facts as they're known at the time, at least until new evidence pops up. Benny Morris doesn't do that. If he states that there was a cleansing no matter what he thinks about it, he's not a historian. Simply b/c there was no such thing in the history of the State. Thank you.
1
@WeAreGhuraba If you can provide me w/any evidence, and I mean real evidence, that Ben Gurion said anything to that effect, I'll look into it. Ben Gurion and his party, Mapai, was a leftist party and their mantra was to conciliate and live in peace w/the Arabs and build the country together. There were others in the gov who disagreed, such as Yigal Alon, but he was under Ben Gurion and had no say. Ben Gurion issued an explicit order to the local commanders to encourage the Arabs to stay. He had reasons to think so which I have no room to elaborate on here. 20% of our citizens today are Israeli Arabs, the descendants of those who did indeed stay. Whoever wanted to leave left voluntarily, and there were reasons for that too. Thank you
1
@WeAreGhuraba I've already replied to this in my previous post. Let me know if you have other questions. thank you
1
@WeAreGhuraba Ok can you give me the sources of those statements at least so I can look them up b/c my knowledge is entirely different. He wanted them to stay. His concern was the outside enemies, like Egypt, Jordan and Syria. He saw no problem w/the local Arabs although the Arabs clearly saw a problem w/the Jews and fought them tooth and nail. As I said before, some of his gov disagreed and it's possible that some local commanders defied his orders and used force but those were (if there were) isolated incidents. The bulk of the ppl left voluntarily but their leaders decided to exploit it thus turning them into professional victims.
1
@WeAreGhuraba Do the Arabs have the right to resist? I am not a lawyer so I can't approach it from a legal standpoint, but in my view, resistance by definition means fighting something that was foisted on you against your will. Nothing was foisted on the Arabs. As I said before, they left on their own accord, and now in Gaza they're a free independent state under their own elected gov. That state committed an act of vicious aggression against Israel on Oct 7, and if asking about the right to resist, I'd say Israel has the right to resist this aggression. Israel is the victim in this case and Gaza is the aggressor.
1
@WeAreGhuraba That's exactly right, they willingly left b/c their leaders promised them more. They promised them the entire land free of Jews and their control over it once the war was won. I am guessing Benny Morris forgot to enlighten you on that little detail. I am sorry to be so stupid and unworthy, and I guess we need to conclude our argument at this point. I hope you have a good day.
1
If she's fed up, don't ask him. If she thinks he's lying and she knows everything for him, there is no point in interviewing him. Mr. Regev, I salute you, but if I were you, I would've ignored those interview requests altogether.
