  1. Israel's deterrence is not contingent on the US. If a country decided to outsource its vital interest to any other, it only has itself to blame. The US doesn't owe anybody anything, it needs to uphold its own interests and if it comes w/a cost to others, sorry, those others need to take care of themselves.
