@compactinfinity As she said, they're doing all they can to minimize civilian casualties, but in a war situation esp. urban warfare, it's not always possible, and we regret every such death. Keep in mind too that most civilians are very supportive of their gov, Hama$, and serve as their human shield. It's possible too that some are forced, but even so, we can't control that, either. Another thing is that Hama$ is their employer which pays their salaries, so they're beholden to them, but that too is their internal affair. Thank you

@The1stEmperor When Palestine existed, that is, before 1948, everybody who lived there was called a Palestinian. Some were native born, others came from others parts of the world, and those had their birth certs from their countries. Yet, they were not considered refugees in any way and didn't receive any UN handouts. After 1948, the word Palestine fell out of use and was replaced by Israel. Now those who are Israeli born have Israeli birth certs, those who came retain the birth certs of their countries, just like everywhere else in the world. You don't change your place of birth, it's kinda hard to be born again elsewhere.

The US is jumping up and down trying to prevent the Rafa op, but no go, Joe. The US wasn't attacked, US citizens weren't killed, although there were a few among them plus a few taken captive, but that's not of importance for Biden. What's important is to save Hama$ , let them regroup and repeat the Oct 7 again and again, as they promised. No go, Joe. Won't happen. And w/regards to the intel, I've got to laugh, really. We know way more than the US. it's Israel that shares info w/the US, not conversely. Nice try, Joe.

@ReformedBeliever96 Sir/Ma'am, are you delusional or just pretend? Gaza has been an independent state since 2005 under its own elected gov, Hama$. Israel had no control over it at all. If they were controlled, it was by Hama$ and Egypt, that blockaded them and continues to do so now. They were allowed to come to Israel to work daily, Israel provided all the utilities, jobs, edu, money etc. They prospered, not just lived. If Hama$ stole their money, take it up w/them, not w/us. Thank you

@body2811 I never said anything about forceful conversion. I said whoever wants to. Yes, anybody can convert if they so desire and once their conversion is verified and approved, they can come and settle here. Yes, we have ppl from all corners of the earth, Indians, Asians, Africans, etc. Plus there are lots of non Jews living here too, 20% of Israelis are muslims. I don't see what your problem is. In the US, there are millions who came from elsewhere, they don't even speak English, yet they're allowed to come. Same in Europe, there are tons of Muslims and others, how come they can? The British PM is not a Brit, city mayors are not Brits, and nobody seems to mind. Why is everybody obsessed w/Israel? Not sure I understand.

@body2811 No, we won't let non Jews overrun us, sorry. The mission of Israel is to be a state for the Jews, not an international zone. That's how it was conceived and continues to be. And if any Jews, be them from India, Asia, Russia, Europe etc want to come and settle here, they're welcome. Nobody is forced, it's totally voluntary. Non Jewish family members can certainly come along, we won't turn them away, and other exceptions are made sometimes too. But not in overwhelming numbers. I am happy to hear that you think that non Israeli Jews must stay in their countries of origin and not come although for some reason, you don't provide for the same for Arabs or others. Those can settle wherever and overrun the locals. This is a great and fair disposition.

@body2811 The Balfour declaration had no meaning or substance. It was just a piece of paper that actually promised the Jews a large portion of then-Palestine which was never given. The Jewish population has increased just like the Arab population and other populations in the world through birth rate and immigration. It's the same today too, wonder why it doesn't bother you, only the Jewish population does, but it's your choice and I am not gonna argue. The land was purchased and good money paid, all the purchases were voluntarily, most from absentee land owners who lived elsewhere and didn't need the land anyway but they certainly wanted the money. They didn't have to sell if they didn't want to. The Brits trained the Jordanian Arab Legion and became their commanding officers and equipped them and other Arabs w/weaponry. I've never heard that they trained the Haganah, but if they did, it was their choice, so take it up w/them. Jerusalem was never attacked by the Jews, it was defended against the Arab Legion and eventually fell when the defenders were down to 35 men and had to surrender and go into Jordanian captivity. The King David bombing has nothing to do w/anything, it was pre-state, you're mixing up facts, dates and events. Take care.

@brandonr1127 Jews have lived in the land for millennia, the Arabs came much later, so the occupiers are the Arabs, not the Jews. But even if it were the opposite, it doesn't matter. The Americans are in charge on America, not the indigenous ppl those are in reservations and have no say. Arabs are overrunning Europe, N. America and Australia, and they're certainly indigenous to those countries, I can tell. Spain and later England colonized half of the world, while themselves being small countries. And thus we're where we are now, regardless, Sorry you're upset.
