Agree, unfortunately, not enough voters in the state to overtake Crook and Lake. But maybe someday. After all, Illinois was repub until the 1970s, I believe. May history repeat itself.

I don't think it was flipped. I checked the numbers by the county, and it looks like the most populated counties, Cook and Lake, are still democratic, and of course, Chicago is the biggest blue. Most others are repub but those have fewer voters.

@rickyricardo6730 What do you mean? When was it changed? Before you cast your vote? I voted in person on paper and there was no way for anybody to change anything. I filled in Trump/Vance and other repubs, walked up to the machine, a poll worker took my ballot and put it in the slot, the ballot slid in, and that was the end. I didn't see it afterwards.

@rickyricardo6730 Right, they offered me that option too but I was kind of mindful, plus I'd never done it digitally before, so I opted for the paper. I don't think paper ballots could be tampered with. Once those circles are filled in, what can they do? But I'll try to research and see if something can be done w/digital ballots. Thanks for letting me know. I am not gonna vote digitally going forward, either.

I am in the burbs and voted for Trump each time. Also hoping to flip it someday. 19 electoral votes is a big chunk after all.

@TInax-oo6mv Yep, Pritzker came out the next day saying that now Illinoisans are in danger (not clear of what) and vulnerable. This man needs his head checked.

I don't know if it's possible, but I agree that Illinois is overwhelmingly red except for Cook and Lake counties, and, of course, Chicago is the biggest blue spot.
