In one year's time, all the land will be under single authority and the issue will be closed to international discourse. Oh but wait, this resolution is non binding just like million others, and thus who cares.

  4. The difference here is that Russia occupied Ukraine in a war of aggression, while Israel got the lands in a defensive war. which is perfectly legal.

  7.  @zzzbyyy  The Brits never "settled" Jews in Palestine. How could they possibly settle anybody? They didn't own the land, they were just a temporary custodian. The Jewish enterprise in Palestine started in the middle of the 19th century when the land was under the Turks, not the Brits. The Turks owned the land and thus were in a position to allow the sales. The Brits didn't have the authority to do it, they weren't the owners. The Brits took over only after WW1, in 1919. By then the project had been going on for over half a century.

  29.  @nigora5053  Lands that fall under the authority of the victim fighting a defensive war are legit spoils. Germany lost land after WW2 and never regained it . Sorry to upset.

  30.  @nigora5053  That's exactly what happened to Germany. It lost land and did indeed become accountable for the aggression. It still has a US contingent sitting on their soil w/o reciprocity, and takes orders from the US gov. Moreover, immediately after the war, part of it was hacked by Russia and fell under its red terror for many decades (now they're reunited). Nothing like that has ever happened to Israel. If you can enlighten me on what exactly you mean by "has been representative of Israel's position for the 76 years", I'd be happy to look into it. As far as I know, though, Israel is only 76 years old as an independent country, not sure what "position" you're talking about. Take care.

  32.  @muhammadshabir1131  I regret to inform you that my "Israeli state" has been thus "punished" ever since it came into being in 1948. it's been 76 years of "punishment" in the form of UN resolutions and the like., but lo! We're still around and thriving, not one of those resolutions ever implemented on the ground. And I no, I am not embarrassed. I am, in fact, very proud that nothing and nobody can do anything to stop us.
