  1.  @alareiks742  I am glad you speak Ukrainian, I am Russian born myself, from Moscow, but praise the Lord, vamoosed a long time ago, so lost much of my Russian by now, yet, when I was there, Ukraine was indeed Russia, just a different name perhaps, but in essence it was. No visa/passport was needed to travel there from Moscow, my parents had friends there and went to visit them and they visited back. No border control, no customs. The language those ppl spoke was Russian. They didn't speak Ukrainian from what I gather. Thank you

  2.  @steveb890  Actually, only a few countries speak English as their native tongue. English is popular as a second/foreign language around the world but not a native language. sorry In case of Ukraine, though, Russian is a native language in Ukraine. Only very few ppl in Western Ukraine, that used to be Poland, speak Ukrainian. in the rest of Ukraine, this language is suppressed.

  3.  @WangAiHua  But that's just a nuclear non proliferation treaty. I am guessing b/c Ukraine has nukes on its territory which are actually Russian nukes, from what I gather, just located there b/c they're indeed one entity but it doesn't grant Ukraine independence from Russia, does it?

  5. Ukraine has always been Russia, this is true. I am from Moscow originally, and from what I remember Ukraine was part of Russia forever. They speak Russian, their own language is suppressed, and they take orders from Moscow. So yes, they're never been independent. They did have a UN representation but other entities do too that are not independent countries.

  6.  SodiumFi7705  That's OK, Sir/Ma'am, you don't have to support Israel. We're fine w/o your support. That said, we have lots and lots of Israelis who came from Russia, Ukraine and other Russian satellites. This immigration has going strong since before the inception of the State, and among them, there have been many outstanding personalities, including prime ministers. And no, I am not an immigrant to Russia. In fact, the direct opposite, born in Moscow but lived most of my life in the US, and now an American-Israeli. Thank you.

Plus I gather Ukrainians are way less tolerant of others who are not them. kind of false sense of superiority, perhaps stemming from their actual inferiority and centuries of subjugation. Just my take, thank you
