@stevenpadilla4294 yes, start your own business....with no money from slave wages, no free time because you're being worked into the ground, and no skills because a college degree is unaffordable for most people, and even with one no guarantee of decent wages, AND unaffordable healthcare.

@HarrisonCountyStudio college degrees are too expensive for most people. Even getting one doesn't change the fact most jobs pay at or near poverty wages, offer few benefits, and no job security(at-will employment). Yes making $7.25 an hour in USA Is more than the $3 a day some people in Africa live on. But RELATIVELY speaking, their lives are exactly the same- no access to high quality and affordable health care, no access to an education, inadequate or nonexistent housing, hunger, unlivable wages, and no social mobility.

@Brian H I'm not rationalizing anything. I'm stating a fact that it requires money and time to start a business, it doesn't matter how i feel because my feelings don't matter when it comes to stating an obvious truth.

@Brian H i also forgot to mention children, mental and/ or physical disabilities, criminal history also affect business success. As does market concentrations, technological limitations, and financialization. No one, especially not the poor, has control over any of these things.

@Brian H Economics is harder than rocket science because rocket science is objective and has clear cut answers, where as economics does not. You can make predictions and test them and even know what will happen beforehand in rocket science, not possible in economics.

@MC-wh3xm Hard work doesn't guarantee success. Luck drives both success and failure, even more than hard work, and poverty is the lack of financial freedom.
