@wolfstar_productions you don't need higher taxes. Taxes are used to create a demand for USA currency not fund the federal government.

@derpmansderpyskin forgiving loans could cap tuition prices.

Cap tuition prices. Duh!
1
Correct.
1
I'd be fine paying for it.
1
The government can do that. There are eligibility requirements for universities to be able to receive federal loans. The eligibility can be changed to where universities are forced to charge tuition that's a narrow band around the median price.
1
You can do both at once.
1
@jtiller1223 I agree.
1
Did you know that Biden has the authority to do both at once? Universities have to meet eligibility requirements to be able to receive federal loans. Biden could change the requirement to being universities charging tuition that is a narrow band around the median price(+/- say 5-10% of 10k). All public universities and trade schools in the country could receive said loans and the loans could all be forgiven, thus allowing colleges to be tuition free.

@jtiller1223 I agree.
1
@bruh-tq2pw So college students choose tuition prices?? LOL.
1
@小小灵 true the money will never be recovered. It'd be a long-term loss. I'd still support canceling all student loan debt.
1
Correct.

Working class people didn't need a college degree back in the fifties through seventies to become middle class. We have almost nothing but service sector jobs now.
1
Because politicians don't want to.

@HighTech636 quantitative easing is the fed printing money and giving it to rich people.
1
Biden has the authority to ensure all universities are enrolled in the federal loans program. All of these loans can be forgiven and the eligibility for universities can be to changed to charge tuition that's a narrow band around the median price. this would cap tuition prices.

@andyiswonderful the usa prints its own currency. Taxes are used to create a demand for currency not fund the federal government. And quantative easing.....
1
Lol survivorship bias AND just world fallacy.
1
@derpmansderpyskin the usa prints its own currency. We just pretend we can't when it comes to spending money on poor people.
1
@mohamedsaid9416 Because conservatives oppose policies which pull people out of poverty and create a middle class. Conservatives also believe the rich provide all the value to society and thus deserve all the money and decision making power.
1
@mohamedsaid9416 because the core root of politics is that liberals and conservatives are fundamentally ideologically different. Conservatives believe in individualism. Particularly that individual effort alone can overcome any obstacles. Either luck doesn't exist or isn't a contributing factor. Thus, if you're born poor it isn't your fault but if you die poor it is. Helping the poor become middle class or rich is like rewarding failure and that anathema to them.
1
Sounds like just world fallacy to me.
