  2. I have an analogy for you. The problem with the minimum wage/MW jobs isn't "lack of skills," it's that MW jobs are a bullshit position. Restaurant and retail employers dumbed down these jobs so they now possess the lowest skill ceiling possible. This ensures wages for the jobs remain low. An analogy: imagine i commissioned 10,000 people to build the golden gate Bridge. I give them 10 years to complete it.(let's say that's the average resources needed). On the 2nd day i cut the workforce down to 1,000. On the 3rd day 100. On the 4th day 10. On the 5th i cut down the completion time to 6 weeks. On the 6th i ban all construction workers from being allowed to carry, Make, or use tools. I.e. they can only build with their bare hands. Obviously that bridge isn't getting built. Because it's a bullshit position. The job was dumbed down/restricted in what the worker could do.
