He told the driver that he was pulled over for drifting. He told the K9 officer that it's a guy/vehicle he was looking for. Already he's giving different explanations for the stop. I hope the lawsuit is successful to help put an end to these tyrants!

@dukecraig2402 I concur. I'm retired Navy and used to sing the praises of LEO's, including one of my older brothers who became police chief. Not so much anymore after watching countless videos of LEOs with cowboy mentalities who violate constitutional rights, lie and coverup. I'm of a mind now that most are despicable...including my brother.
12
@anitabonghit2758 That would be something other than a traffic violation.
9
We don't have judges that uphold the Constitution and challenge LEOs actions.
7
It's infuriating!
5
Ignorance of the law is no excuse. That goes both ways and there needs to be justice for this poor man.
5
They are going to lie and say they knocked.
5
"Avoiding" is 100% subjective and sounds like a complete copout (pun intended) by the deputy. She should absolutely be fired and sued for violation of the 4A. This chic deputy (clearly a DEI hire) overstepped her authority, and the Sheriff is obviously covering for her. Locals need to demand justice and vote that sheriff out of office.
2
I find it difficult to believe the current SCOTUS would side with the ignorant judge. "Officer safety" is a complete garbage defense.
2
Strike vs Punch...Hmmm. A term used in the UFC to describe one of the dimensions of an MMA fighters abilities is "Striking." So....WTF is that cop talking about? LOL! That said, she assaulted him first, he retaliated, so I don't think he should've been charged. Fired, yes. Jury got it right.
2
He refused to roll down the heavily tinted window. I think actions taken in the name of "officer safety" are usually abused, but not in this case. Hill put officers on high alert due to his arrogant, uncooperative behavior. If I were the officer and I couldn't see inside the vehicle, especially the hands, I would order him out of the vehicle too. Fuck him!

Richard sounds like one hell of an asshole, and a horrible neighbor. However, LEOs still have to adhere to the law and the Bill of Rights. Cop should've just issued the citation and possibly have Richard's truck towed for blocking the entire cu-de-sac.
1
Dude was belligerent as hell. Very entertaining, for sure, although completely unnecessary. If he had even a little couth toward the officer, then he might've just got a warning. This will all probably get dropped due to the false arrest, and the cops should be fired and sued. But in the end, you gotta ask yourself if attitude is worth the trouble.
1
100% violation of the 4th Amendment! Zero evidence of a crime by these people. ZERO! Yet these untrained and ignorant LEOs considered loose proximity some form of association? I think the residents acted perfectly in asserting their rights and refusing to cooperate.
1
More proof that cops are Sovereign Citizens.
1
Yeah, the police lied in their explanation of actions. That said, I have no problem with this shoot. Dude kept closing the distance with the rifle and refused the LEO's commands. Doubtful he will be missed.
1
The WV trooper organization has major corruption issues, apparently. The governor needs to replace the entire leadership and require retraining of every trooper, especially on the topics of de-escalation and the Bill of Rights.
1
Clearly, they use the Baltimore PD as their standards for conduct.

Major differences between the Carboni shooting and the Alaska shooting. In the California/Carboni shooting, the suspect walking AWAY from the officers and his firearm was not in his hands. Complete opposite of the Alaska shooting where the suspect was walking toward the officers with rifle in hand. Carboni is fucked. The Alaska officers will be fine.
1
@ActiveSelfProtection needs to review this one. I know they will have the same criticisms I have (because that's where I learned about positioning and angles).
1
No evidence anywhere, just hearsay. Clear viiolations of the 4th Amendment. False imprisonment of the wife. I hope this family is able to sue the PD, city and county into a complete removal of leadership involved.
1
She could have possibly still under the effects of anesthesia, which does affect your mood and rationale for a day or two after surgery. My daughter has been under anesthesia twice and I stay the hell away from her for a few days after.
1
Infuriating! WV LEOs seem extremely corrupt, volatile and undisciplined. Sadly, it's not much different than the rest of the country. And bodycams need to be mandatory. If cops tell a different story and can't prove it due to "malfunctioning" camera, then they have not met their burden of proof and should be held liable!
1
The officer took a horrible tactical angle toward that entry way, which gave him zero visibility to anything coming from that direction. In other words, he wouldn't see anyone until they were on top of him, giving him no time to assess and react. Shame on him. This is 100% his fault. He should not have a badge or carry a firearm!
1
I bet the deputy that had his bodycam on during that event is facing scrutiny from his fellow tyrannical colleagues. Oops!
1
C'mon, he was just providing adult council to the minor...and they needed some privacy. I think he just dropped his duty belt by accident. Stop being anti-cop!
1
This is unfulfilling in that I would like to see legal or departmental justice applied to the ignorant LEOs. WTF happened to them? If nothing, then they will continue to abuse the law and arrest law abiding citizens.
1
Bodycams????? With the obviously pervasive corruption and abuse in law enforcement agencies, bodycams must be mandatory!!! And can we get some f@*king integrity back in this country? Of course, I know that's presuming we ever had it to begin with.
1
Sounds reasonable. Aren't there laws that consider giving the bird disorderly or lewd behavior? I'm all for holding LEOs accountable, but people also need to be civil.
1
I enjoy your content, but might I suggest you deliver it extemporaneously instead of reading word for word off the computer.
1
Aside from the Beverly Hills Police Department (Beverly Hills Cop), police departments hold disdain for the citizens they are charged to protect. Once they get that badge and gun, they truly believe they are superior and can do and say whatever they want. In other words, they become bullies. They need to continue to be "audited" and held to account.
1
This is a tragedy, a travesty and all around horrible look for the LPD. Who TF authorizes a night time raid on a home...for a fu&*ing weed eater? Insane, and people need to burn (figuratively, of course). That said, I inferred no threat at all from the mayor's social media post. I also think he and the LPD are acting wisely by not comment until the investigation is finished. Sure, it's a false cover, but it works for the FBI's Wray everytime he talks to congress.
1
Everyone, and every home, has a camera this day and age. I am constantly surprised at the illegal behavior people continue to exhibit. Dude isn't very bright. He should've felt a severe "Oh shit" feeling when she picked up her phone. He probably thought she loved him.
1
I draw no distinction between this sheriff's office and a street gang. And they will continue to behave like a gang until repercussions are incurred.
1
Are these deputies fucking sociopaths, or what?
1
You showed the same clip 3 or 4 times. Why? We already have the context.
1
The bottom line is that his attitude paved the way to his arrest. A more personable demeanor, quite possibly, would've resulted in a warning for both the traffic infraction and the failure to appear. Of course, we don't know that for sure, but attitudes like that NEVER result in a positive outcome. Give peace a chance, man.
1
Aren't mug shots usually posted on local LEO government websites? If so, there is no real right to privacy post arrest.
1
@qandidhater673 The officer is hispanic, so...nice try.
1
This is not a QI situation. He assaulted this old lady, resulting in serious injury. Where is the DA on this?
1
Just arrested a man on the word of another without conducting ANY investigation. Reyes is just a piece of shit name-dropper ("my boy") who thinks any association with a SEAL makes him important. It doesn't. In fact, they don't give two shits about you if you are not a SEAL. You are just a tool to them. At the end of the day, James dropped the package off at the wrong delivery service. Should he have been fired? I don't know, maybe. But the egregious actions of the VBPD are the bigger issues.
1
So, the arrest is completely unrelated to his abuse as an LEO. Not satisfied.
1
Need to abolish qualified immunity and start filing criminal charges against LEOs who blatantly violate the Bill of Rights.
1
I would like to know of any disciplinary actions taken against the LEO tyrant. Dude has no business wearing a badge, let alone carrying a firearm.
