  2. Yep, you are correct. Russia suddenly started a flurry of diplomatic demands, but it did so in a hurried and half hearted way. People were saying at the time that Russia was just developing a pretext for their invasion, and that none of the diplomacy was real. Russia is always lying, you can never trust what they say.

  3.  @litesp  - Weird, only Russians call it a US backed coup. It was a country turning towards the EU because they hated Russian influence with their terrible economy. And the Eastern regions tried to declare independence, usually shelling follows that genius. Stop repeating propaganda and brain dead talking points, grow up
