@tesfahailu1000 - Many cultures faced hardship. It is the focus of the culture that matters. It is what black people can change right now.. focus on education and the nuclear family. This is on black people, no one else can do it for them. If they make the choice to perpetuate self defeating lifestyles, that is their choice. Trying to shift the blame is why nothing ever gets fixed. Black people need to be told to focus in school, go to college, and marry before they have kids.

@snakesonthismondaytofriday1750 - Im not taking on guilt for something Ive never done. Collective guilt was shown to be immoral a long time ago. Or do you want to be responsible for the high rate of criminals in your community? You keep pointing out things from decades ago. There is no data that shows oppression is the main fqctor keeping black people behind in tge stats. The data says it is the lack of a nuclear family and a low educational attainment rate mixed with high criminality. You guys need to change your behaviors for progress to be made. Blaming white people might feel good, but it is just a coping mechanism. The data isnt on your side. College educated parents in a black family make more than the equivalent white family in many states. The problem is, not many black people go to college despite grants that allow them.

@snakesonthismondaytofriday1750 - Nevermind dude. Dont be surprised when you never advance. Notice Asians focus on how they can improve? You focus on how you can make excuses. Youre fucked.

@snakesonthismondaytofriday1750 - You arent addressing anything Im saying and keep going back decades. It is clear you are not able to formulate a cohesive argument that apploes to today. Youre just drunk on victimhood. You think it makes you look inmocent, but really people see you as childish.

@snakesonthismondaytofriday1750 - The pressure to lend to minorities was a big part of it. This whole debate is framed incorrectly. Like how everyone says crack sentences were white people oppressing black people. In reality, many black congressmen and community leaders pushed for it to rid their communities of crack. The black narrative always, and I mean always, places all the blame on someone else. When it never involves personal responsibility, you can be sure people grow tired of it. Its fucking stupid because it wont address the real issues. If 0 black people were killed by police, 99.9% of their problems would remain. There is no study which shows white racism is significantly contributing to the financial situation of blacks. Show me that study. You cant. It just grows so old. It is like hearing a toddler constantly say it was Billy's fault. I was born in 1985.

@snakesonthismondaytofriday1750 - Want to know a major reason for the financial crash of 2008? The government pressured lenders to increase home ownership in minorities and a ton of them defaulted. Please dont give me that victim bullshit, the main issues are of your own making. You do realize everyone subconsciously thinks less of people that always blame others, right? There is a reason the whole country loves asians.

@snakesonthismondaytofriday1750 - Holy shit, are you npw trying to say because African history isnt emphasized in school they do worse than Asians? Im done man, you would blame someone else if you tripped over a rock.

@snakesonthismondaytofriday1750 - Furthermore, there is no evidence diversity of skin color improves company performance. Please cite a study which proves this. It often introduces unqualified candidates because their skin color is the right shade of brown.

@elizabethsantos2104 - You are clearly speaking from a place of emotion. The problems in the black community are rooted in decisions made in the last decade. Their issues are not race based, they are based on their lack of achievment in key areas. Blame white people, the US, the universe, the big bang, what ever you want. The things that are plaguing the community can only be changed by behavior from black people. Blaming white people might feel good, but it does nothing to address the many real issues black people are responsible for themselves.

@jazzydreamer4703 - Of course one culture can be better than another. How do you think nations and ethnic groups get ahead of others? It would be wildly unscientific to assume every culture is equal. Black culture in America is obviously not getting good results. Who knew not focusing on education and glorifying gang culture would have negative consequences? I guess this logic is a bit too difficult for some groups to grasp.

@snakesonthismondaytofriday1750 - Yes, that is why China has grown the fastest in human history, diversity. How about you cite me a meta review which supports your claim? It is total bullshit.

@snakesonthismondaytofriday1750 - Congrats, it still does not change that black culture as an aggregate is producing terrible results. It must change.
3
@snakesonthismondaytofriday1750 - Some cultures are better than others. How could it not be? It would be very weird statistically fot different cultures to have equal results.

Fanta Graham - They would have succeeded in the US no matter what. That is what happens when cultural values heavily emphasize education. And considering laws limiting immigration were because of them, I wouldnt say they have had it easy at all. They just work their asses off at school. It shows.
2
@tesfahailu1000 - That was reasonable, although still not nuanced when it comes to the root causes. Either way, I agree that would be a good idea to help poorer residents.
1
@snakesonthismondaytofriday1750 - The have nots end up in their position largely because of known factors. A cultural expectation of rigorous education would be one. Nuclear families would be two. Pretending it is all vague and a lack of understanding wont help remedy the situation. Treat people with respect, but also be honest about what needs change.
