  1. No, it was the fundamental fact that socialism is terrible for an economy, especially compared to capitalism. The lack of democracy and human rights didn’t do them any favors either. It is a failure of an idea, but some people have nothing going for them and nothing to look forward to in their lives, so pretending socialism will work one day is really all they have. Sad

  2. Socialists literally cannot talk about how socialism fails without blaming the US. It is erroneous and frankly really boring to hear the same excuses time and time again. This is part of the reason no one takes socialism seriously. It’s a juvenile movement
