Indeed. As an American, I know Germans tend to look down on us and think badly of our society, but thay is all the more reason to try and be better. Sometimes it gets on my nerves, but overall we are allies, and I expect Germany to do the right thing in the end. My Grandma came from Germany when she was a child, so I have a special like for the country. Glad they are finally beefing up their military!

@subfreakuent - The US does have some good state funded channels like PBS. It is the corporate, for profit channels that are terrible.

Ya, I love DW, American channels are so partisan. The two party system in the US is terrible, it poisons everything.

@bz1222 - What is really annoying is people who support Russia in the US just because Democrats strongly condemn Russia. Our two party system has made some of our population drooling tards.

Indeed. But for people saying the US doesn't have this, we actually do. Look at PBS and NPR, they are quite similar to DW. Their only problem is that they have embraced identity politics, but other than that they are quite good.

@julianpetkov8320 - Hey, I'm cool with being an ally of the British Empire. Problem is, Britain doesn't have an empire. But they are a good ally, even if they aren't in the EU. The EU has been toothless for far too long, it is time the EU becomes an equal partner.
