@algernonsidney8746 - It was a response to the war, the Arab states said they were going to crush the Israelis and Arabs thought they would be able to return. Some of them were forced out but for the vast majority it was a result of neighboring states refusing to recognize Israel’s existence. Time and time again those countries try something, fail, and then go crying to the West about being oppressed. It is comical how this cycle keeps repeating. No wonder it is only the young and naive in the West who buy it. They will learn like everyone else has learned as they get older
