  1. @sasa asasasa - Yep. Good explanation. The events that create the heavier elements are incredibly energetic events. For comparison, if the sun went supernova, the brightness from earth would be orders of magnitude higher than putting your eyeball directly up to a hydrogen bomb. Just unbelievable amounts of energy. Look at the energy required to fuse the lightest elements possible in our research fusion reactors. They have to get the reactors up to 125 million degrees! That is for the lightest elements, far removed from the heavy metals like uranium. Nothing is free in this world, and honestly, nuclear energy is already exploiting the most energy dense materials available. Scientists aren't dumb, the math has been done on all of this a long time ago.
