@vincenttay2812 - Because China runs a weird Frankenstein mixture of capitalism and authoritarian socialism. Capital markets cannot be stabilized without certain qualities in a society. This is why China is having a really difficult time avoiding the middle income trap

@thomasbarrack1384 - Well, it might be a dystopian version. After all, they already have a dystopian society. With no democracy, there is no outlet for the people's frustrations. We will see how long they are placated by the CCP's promises. But, maybe the people of China just don't care about that and will take everything laying down, who knows.

@beatonthedonis - I’m sure if we had authoritarian policies we could get rid of our murder rate too. Arabs in general haven’t advanced to the 21st century, it’s quite sad actually. They have such huge egos for being one of the most incompetent people on earth

@shafsteryellow - They have a widespread fundamentalist belief system which hasn’t been present in Europe since the Enlightenment. They basically all reject evolution, and things like this means they stay in the mentality of a 7th century tribe. Syria just got rid of evolution from its textbooks because of the new Islamic government. They are going to have a very challenging time advancing past the rigid constraints of their religion. It has a hold on them

@shafsteryellow - A culture which founds its identity on ancient religious values cannot prosper. Look at Syria, they immediately removed evolution from their textbooks after the rebels overtook the country. That is what the population wants, because they don’t believe in evolution due to their religion. Take that example and generalize it across everything. They think they can get by just studying engineering or other fields which don’t conflict with their religion, but the truth is you need an open mindset to advance your culture. You can’t have such an old belief system flourish in the modern world, it just won’t happen

@KevinBalch-dt8ot - No, Jewish citizens give a lot back to the country. Either way, it makes infinitely more sense to ally with and help defend Israel compared to the Arab nations. The Arab nations are completely useless, if they didn’t have oil they would just be living the same lives as 200 years ago. Their culture is rotten from top to bottom, and we should never appease them and throw Israel under the bus. Israel is worth more than every Arab country combined
