@Ryne918 - I thought you were replying to me when I saw the notification. I have only seen a few of his videos but he made a total ass out of himself with his livestream covering this launch. He has no objectivity and came across as very uninformed and very angry at spacex. I was reading on Reddit and of course he is a leftist. A lot of leftists hate anything related to Elon Musk because he dares to not share their political opinions. For a group which praises their own “tolerance” they sure seem like the most intolerant people around. They also tend to make politics their identity

Did anyone see that guy Thunderfoot’s live stream? I only saw clips of it but holy hell the guys is insufferable. He was rooting for spacex to fail and called everyone clapping at spacex “morons”. I have never seen a more bitter pseudoscientist lol

@12345....... - He is a very lucky businessman and a good hype man. Looking at his career, it could have easily failed. It's cool he has succeeded so far, but it isn't because he is some genius. He wad there at the right time and captured the imagination of the country.

You guys are doing amazing, but I worry about the direction of the company. Elon is so distracted and constantly getting into sticky situations he shouldn't, it makes me worry he isn't putting enough focus on SpaceX. Unless they have transfered most of his role to someone else.

Man, I am nervous about this deployment. I am not even nervous about the launch, the Europeans made a very reliable rocket that it will be riding on. I am worried about the unfolding process. Hundreds of points of failure, and you just have to wonder if it is possible to get through all of them without a single error. You can put it in a vacuum to test, but you can't fully simulate the temperature and lack of gravity. I love NASA and I am rooting for them, but I just can see this going wrong in so many ways. Fingers crossed, I will be extremely happy if NASA proves me wrong! And to be fair, I probably would have said something similar before the Apollo 11 launch.

@AllanP-n3q - No, I very much dislike Trump; but I do lean right. I used to be a leftist in college, but once I matured it became glaringly obvious that leftist policies are almost universally destructive. I made it about politics because here in the US leftists have made Musk their personal enemy the second he said he was a conservative. They are extremely tribal and aggressive, so I was just pointing out the motivation for why a lot of people hate Musk so passionately.

@Scanner9631 - i haven’t watched a lot of his other videos but like you said, there is no objectivity nor scientific thinking involved when he covers Musk related stuff. People can dislike how he over promises stuff, but a ton of people hate him because of his politics, and it is such an insanely immature and tribalistic view. Someone said thunderfoot was pretty far left on Reddit, so it makes sense. Maybe he was once objective with Musk because Musk has promised a lot of BS, but his livestream was just embarrassing

@OutbackCatgirl - Oh, trust me, I know. After reading a bunch of articles, it is clear that he let much smarter people get his companies to work. The only issue I have, to be fair, is that he hasn't stolen anything as far as I know. He paid for the rights to Tesla and to be called the founder. It is misleading and serves his ego, but as far as I know he never actually stole anything. Now, as far as lying goes, I am pretty sure Elon averages one lie every two minutes. The man is surprisingly juvenile.

I seriously can’t think of a more destructive force than progressives, but somehow those people think they are the ultimate arbiters of morals. Like I said, you can dislike Musk for over promising, but that would be mild dislike and not this rabid hate. Furthermore, they should be very happy when he succeeds, but since it is all about politics for some people, they can’t like anything he does even if it is amazing like with starship.

I grew up on a farm in Nebraska where personal responsibility and low taxes was my way of life. But now I am a leftist because I dont like Elon? Ironically, you are just proving my point for me. Elon was dumb enough to alienate leftist voters when they were the primary customers in the US. I know you operate on a... let's just say simpler plane of existence, so let me reassure you that I am not saying Elon is bad because he is a conservative, he is bad because he makes very dumb business decisions that have caused him all kinds of problems. He didn't even want to buy Twitter, the man ended up buying a multi billion dollar company because of his ego. He bought it at a wildly overpriced share amount, and pretty much everyone agrees he just bought a financial black hole, which is why he unexpectedly sold more Tesla stock to cover his liabilities with Twitter. And most of all, he attracts people like you. Simple minded people who view everything through the lens of left/right because anything else is too hard for their brain. Immature people. People who almost always will buy a truck over a Tesla. And it is bad for their brand to attract simple people like you, it makes Tesla look like the home of the rednecks.
