@slightlycynical1335 Macron did NOT "win" the first round. He did not get a Plurality in it. ...once again, the specter of Artificial Democracy eliminated the 3rd party challenge despite it getting almost exactly the same percentage LePen got

That's also a lie. The Judges CHANGED the "established" Law in this case after TESTIFYING to congress that they would not set the law this way. If they had stayed consistent, they would have left the law in a broken state where it remained a political football for the two greediest most cynical political parties in the world. No that that isn't a "happy ending" for anyone. But it would still preclude them from becoming "Activist Judges turned lawmakers".

@DonnyStanley That would also be an argument you could make, IF they represented the Body of the Republic on the issue. But they don't, they're massively out of step with Majority Rule on it as even other run of the mill republicans have made the argument that this is creating a gigantic new increase to the size and power of Government and can be and WILL be used to repress way more rights than just Mother-Fetus bodily autonomy.

that's a shitty Law that isn't consistent with the 1st amendment

Clarify: ON their property?....Or on the Public Street in front of their property?? If it's the former, then that's not Democracy and you are licking some boots

@scott76252 The crux of that application was during the 1940's primarily when Racketeering ran everything. Trying to apply it now in every single instance of public disobedience is some serious goddamned revisionism to what our founding fathers had in mind, even for themselves as residents of the capital

@marywalters1181 That's not helpful. Neither of these things should exist as "Laws" if the Property the protesters are "infringing on" is still public property. Disorderly conduct is a case by case basis and exists for a reason. But Jan6th protestors were absolutely treated inconsistently with MOST capital protest standards just how Trump also treated the Floyd protestors as if they were a violent threat when they were not. It has to stop.

yah, that's ecactly what BOTH SIDES of this broken political spectrum keep saying and I'm sick of it. Atleast the fringe Left still has Jimmy to call out those towards his side when they do it. But it doesn't seem the Right wing has any equivalent to that at all...or atleast not one who consistently pulls 9,000+ in live casts
