Infact it's been artificially kept lower in price for decades by no-bid public land leases, massive tax cuts for energy companies, and an astronomical budget for military intervention worldwide. RENT is the thing that's unaffordable. Real Estate is even worse regardless of what "housing" prices are ... especially for farming when there's no chance in hell of competing against south american imports
