  1. Making a mediocre and "safe" game is WORSE than making a Bad game because it means no one will remember it AND you don't really learn anything from it like you would if you'd made a game that was full of controversial decisions.

  2. Most AAA publishers that are nominated for anything, PAY for that privilege by sponsoring the GameAwards or having payed them to run previews years ago. It's all a big investor circle jerk
