  1. Everyone from 40 down only know time under EU laws & legislation and like it. Those who were born longer remember times of proper British society, that was eroded when Heath took us into the Common Market - without even a Referendum - where we lost a lot of fishing rights; manufacturing and businesses due having to hand everything to those in Brussels. I mourn for those times. Life under Wilson, Heath, Callaghan was appalling. Thatcher turned that around but by the time she was dropped she'd gone too far. When Major signed the Maastricht Treaty 1992 he signed more of our sovereignity away. Yes, by 1997 all debts to the USA were paid & the country was in the Black. Since Brown spent, spent, spent under Blair after 1999 we've been in the Red!

  2. No we didn't. England fell to Romans, Normans, Vikings invaded the north of England. We repelled the Nazis by removing Hitler. England has been made up by the Angles & whoever invaded.
