As bad as John Major who took the UK into the European Exchange Rate Mechanism October 1990, so side effect of that was companies had to make hundreds of thousands redundant, the same amount lost their homes, and most of us had ones that were in "negative equity"! I experienced it,losing my job as did all the team I worked in & my flat in "NE"! The Government was forced to leave the ERM in 1992 & Norman Lamont took over as Chancellor. Due to that even more redundancies and more people losing properties as they couldn't keep up the mortgages! It took years for the country to get over bad decisions by both incompetent Chancellors! She's as bad as them!🤬👎🤬
