@Charlie121 How is it not correct to call people imagining false conspiracies a conspiratorial idiot? Or did you really nor read that far, and try to blame that whole misunderstanding on me? I'm guessing that's more realistic. But whatever. And the theory itself isn't at all a conspiracy, that's the point. It's literally just a theory, but since a whole bunch of idiots suddenly decided that it's a communist and racist ploy to take control of America, then they just utterly ignore that fact. Take the person I replied to. Does the theory you just outlined seem consistent with some sort of conspiracy made by marx?

@Charlie121 Alright then, no problem, sorry for the confusion. The idea of a marxist conspiracy is a sully one, but is of course spread very far across the internet because people can blame marx for whatever they don't like.

@babatunde6950 The only reason we actually have... any of that, literally any of the things you mentioned, is because the government made the internet and first computers. Hell, they still prop up that sector, by giving tech companies massive tax cuts and benefits. The device you and I are both on was probably constructed in china, or some third world country. None of that, none of what you mentioned, is capitalist. It's capitalists exploiting things that already existed. If capitalism's biggest claim to fame is "well we leeched off the government and made some products like that," then that's not really a claim to fame, is it?

@JNM578 Again, most of the components literally come from third world countries, or even china. Most computers aren't even manufactured in america, they're just shipped here, and then they wait on shelves for people to buy them. that's capitalism, alright, but not the kind I think you're a fan of. The problem with things being "mutual" under capitalism is that you don't really have a choice. Most jobs require skills with a computer, or owning some sort of internet enabled device, and most are put together in the same way. It doesn't matter if i don't buy from one company, because they're all doing it. And if the "private ownership of the means of production" leads to this, it isn't doing that well for itself.

@claudethesilentman7841 Sure they were both "bad" But one was an organized mass killing of different ethnic groups for the purpose of pure hate, stopped by only the loss of a war. The other was a result of failed policy. How can you compare a manmade disaster to a genocide in good faith? It's not "just like" the holocaust in any way, beyond people dying. Why do you want to minimize the holocaust?
