  2. I find it interesting that today the world focus on the slavery of the europeans. No one seems to focus on the pre-colonial slavery by the very people that are slaves. In india there was great slavery of other peoples (ramayan and mahabharata wars). Indians in india are proud of the ancestors committed by their for-fathers. Very deep history. I find it hypocritical of non-europeans claiming injustice when their ancestors committed worse atrocities. If they were truly able to maintain development then they would have released their specific driver specifications. AMD ATI works extremely well with Linux.   20. I find 60s and 70s being the golden age of database experimentation. They made all the mistake and eventually everything got standardized with the sql92 standard. It is not about being impossible. It is about you being able to read and understand assembly language. The reason c can be ported is because it is a high level language. People still used them since that was the best at the time. Windows was not developed for the ordinary user initally. Look at the first windows like 1.0 and 2.0. They were targeted towards the businesses. Its onnly later down that microsoft targeted home users because of the micro computer being more in reach of the ordinary home users.   51. GNU Linux is just a set of GNU tolls built around the linux kernel. Linux us just the kernel. I foresee linux becoming the dominant operating system since it can span many architectures. The very thing that makes linux strong will also make it weak. That is the cross compilers. High level abstraction takes away optimizations and only leads to larger bloat code. This is something linux will have to deal with in the years to come.

  140. As a trained computer scientist I will say we will never reach true intelligence. I used to believe as an ex-atheist that I could recreate the perfect man. What I failed to realize is that humans are made up of more than an organic system. I found the answer to what makes us tick. It is written in the book of genesis. Mankind is made of three part. The body, the soul and the spirit. The spirit is like the glue that binds the body and the soil. The brain is just a snapshot (like the operating system swap file) of inputs and outputs the soul has interfaced with the body. The error I made before I came to know the truth of the bible is I thought the brain contains the personality of the individual. The soul is the personality of the individual. That is why the bible focuses so much on the soul and not the body. Lord Jesus own all souls and he will decide what will happen to each and everyone. Its like when we create something and we decide what to do with it. The soul is the software. The bible says that on day the rapture happens both the dead and alive christian's will get a new body that is immortal. We will get a body that is free from pain, sickness and death. I know many of you will disagree with me but what I say is scientific if you really are honest.

  171. Excellent video. I see you are a operating system connoisseur. I have yet to see someone design a assembler that can cross compile a standard set of instructions to many cpu's. This is the next evolution of the future operating system. High level languages have created too much bloat code which results in large code base. We need to go back to basics and revisit assembly language and redesign the operating system. Linux need to be rewritten in assembly language. Before anyone comments I wiil say there is already a use case that is kolibrios. If the effort were to be put in to kolibrios like linux then it can work really. You can fit a entire gui operating system unto a single 1.44mb floppy disk. I do not know about you guys but that is impressive. We need more assembly language programmers. Also before anyone mentions it I will say AI writing assembly language code is a bad idea.
