@mxn1948 It does. A old model car can still run when an emp happens. Electric cars are goign to be burnt out completely. emp can also come from solar flare. Look up what happened in the 1940 to the first telephone system when there was a solar flare.

@mxn1948 There are gas cars that can withstand an emp. shielding from lightening is not the same as an emp. Totally different. There is a reason people seek after old cars that are emp proof. Some old gas car have manual injectors.

@ahaveland a faraday case requires everything being sealed. All cars are not sealed. So that is a inaccurate statement you made. If an asteroid hits the earth (which will happen according to the bible) them we will see. Asteroids have hit the earth many time in the past. If you want to see the after effects then read the book of revelation. Having a working car will be important in such in such a situation. Survival will require prepared knowledge and resources ahead of time. As I said before. Failure to prepare is preparing to fail. So it is totally irrelevant to the comment what you are saying.
