Chinese owned companies were looting countries like Australia for medical supplies and sending hundreds of tonnes back to china in early January before anyone knew the severity of the corona virus. That's why some countries had a shortfall of medical supplies. Now they are trying to be shown as saviours by "helping needy countries.
