  273. There is no legal way to do such a thing. There is no law requiring loyalty to a party (nor should there be) and switching parties has happened multiple times in the past. It's just rare lately because of partisanship. The only way to remove a sitting senator is for 2/3 of the Senate to vote to expel him. That's all the Constitution provides and changing the Constitution would require an amendment, which needs 2/3 of BOTH houses or 2/3 of the states. This is why voting is important. You have to live with the consequences.

  537. There is where you are mistaken. The police have literally NO legal obligation to rescue or save anyone. Their only legal obligation is to catch criminals. They can watch someone kill you and would only get in trouble if they then did nothing about it. They are under no obligation to save you; just to punish those that broke the law. Entirely different motivations that lead them to simply shooting everything that moves which solves their problem quickest.

People barely even vote for representatives and most don't even care at all about politics let alone have enough knowledge to make any type of informed decision on laws. A direct democracy works up to about village size. Not a country.

We can't have a direct democracy for the same reason you cannot personally manufacture everything you need for life in a modern society. It is a division of labor. It's like if most cars sucked so you banned factories and everyone has to make their own car from scratch. Do you see any major country with direct democracy? No, right? Try to think about why that is and stop wasting people's time with non-solutions.

Most people don't care about politics at all and wouldn't vote and those that did wouldn't be informed enough to do so on the hundreds or thousands of votes necessary per year.
